Portland’s LPGA tournament will move back to its original home as the event returns to Columbia Edgewater. The four-day tournament will take place Sept. 15-18. The Portland Classic is the longest-running non major on the LPGA schedule.

The event was moved to the Oregon Golf Club last year as a result of homeless encampments that were set up around the area of Columbia Edgewater. But Tournament Golf Foundation, which runs the Portland Classic, announced the move back to Columbia Edgewater.

The tournament had also been played at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

Last year was the 50th anniversary of the LPGA Portland Classic with Jin Young Ko winning the event. The tournament also helps an amateur gain entry into the field with the winner of a tournament at Langdon Farms earning a spot in the tournament.
